Henry Nadig & Sons was an American manufacturer of engines and automobiles .

Company history

The company was based in Allentown , Pennsylvania . Mainly it made engines. Henry Nadig had already manufactured his first automobile in 1891. Another followed in the winter of 1895/96, in which Henry's sons Charles and Lawrence were involved. The Allentown Democrat reported a motor vehicle on June 30, 1897. A truck was built around 1900 . In 1901 automobiles were produced according to customer orders. The brand name was Nadig .

It is not known when the company was dissolved.

In addition, Henry Nadig presented from 1905 to 1906 in the same city utility vehicles of the brand Eureka ago, remains with unclear whether he did so in the same company.

The vehicle from 1891 had a single cylinder engine . He made 2 hp . The open body offered space for two people. The vehicle was in use until 1900 and still exists today. Other sources give 1889 or 1893 as the year of construction.

The vehicle from 1895/1896 had a two-cylinder engine that developed between 12 and 14 hp.

Like the aforementioned vehicles, the truck from around 1900 had a gasoline engine .

For 1901 it is recorded that when a reporter visited six automobiles at the same time.
