Jacob Hoffman Wagon Company was an American manufacturer of vehicles .

Company history

The company was based in Cleveland , Ohio . There is evidence that it existed as early as 1885, and more for 1890, 1891, and 1892. It made carriages . In 1903 the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Willard . In 1905 the production of motor vehicles ended . Then the track of the company is lost.

Motor vehicles

The company manufactured an electric car in collaboration with I. Willard in 1903 . Willard was a manufacturer of batteries and experimented with electric motors and cars. He made the engine and batteries, Hoffman made the rest of the vehicle. The specified range was 120 km. The vehicle had a hood at the front that resembled the hoods of gasoline cars. The structure was a tonneau .

Then Hoffman made a few more vehicles. An illustration shows a runabout dated 1904.
