Castle Carriage Company

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The L. Burg Carriage Company was an American wagon and automobile manufacturer. The company was founded at the time of the Civil War (1861-1865) in Dallas City (Illinois) and initially manufactured wagons .

description

In 1910 the first automobile, a four-cylinder model, was presented. The motors came from the Rutenber Motor Company , the chassis came from their own production. As early as 1912, people turned to six-cylinder cars and from 1913 onwards they wanted nothing more to do with the earlier four-cylinder models.

In the advertisement, the company pointed out that "hundreds of thousands of dollars are wasted by careless and inexperienced automobile buyers" because they bought other automobiles instead of a "Burg" ... The so scolded (potential) customers seem to be against the Burg automobiles to have decided, because in the same year the automobile production was stopped.
