Moody was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Brothers Charles L. and Victor Moody ran a mechanical workshop in Elgin , Illinois . They started automobile production in 1903. Her brothers Andrew and Axel helped with this. The brand name was Moody . Production ended in 1905. A total of five vehicles were built.

The first vehicle had a single cylinder engine and the last had a four cylinder engine . Many parts, including the engines, were made in-house. The bodies came from Charles Stowe.

One vehicle was driven until the 1920s.
