Bean-Chamberlain Manufacturing Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded in Hudson , Michigan in 1901 . The production of automobiles began. The brand name was Hudson , possibly with the addition of Steamer . Production ended in 1902.

In 1903 it was taken over by Roscoe Bean and other Hudson businessmen. They founded the Hudson Motor Vehicle Company , later renamed the Hudson Auto-Vehicle Company . They tried in vain to produce vehicles until December 1904.

There was no connection to the Hudson Motor Car Co.

The only model was a steam car . It had a steam engine with two cylinders and a chain drive. The open runabout offered space for two people. Was steered with a steering lever.
