Company history

Otto Konigslow ran the company based in Cleveland , Ohio . Initially, he manufactured OK brand bicycles . According to their own information, there were 10,000 pieces. In 1898 experiments with automobiles began . It came onto the market in the summer of 1902. The brand name was Ottokar , occasionally spelled OttoKar .

In June 1904 Konigslow sold everything to the Globe Machine & Stamping Company of the same town. In 1902 15 motor vehicles were sold, in 1903 around 50 were made and in 1904 ten were sold. In total, that's around 75 automobiles.

Motor vehicles

The 1902 models had a bonnet that was similar in shape to the Renault models.

In 1903 there was a model with a single cylinder engine . The engine output of 6 hp was transmitted to the rear axle via a chain. The chassis had a wheelbase of 198 cm . The vehicles were bodied as a runabout with two seats. There was also a model with a two-cylinder engine and 14 hp. The wheelbase is not recorded. The structure was a tonneau with four seats. Another source gives the Renault bonnet and a steering lever instead of a steering wheel for both years up to 1903 .

In 1904 only the single cylinder model was produced. The front was similar to the models from Vauxhall .
