Pacific Motor Vehicle Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
Hiram T. Bradley was an engineer in Oakland , California . He completed his first car in the summer of 1900. As a result, the company was founded in September 1900 in the same city. Bradley's father, John T. Bradley, JL Doble, L. Luther Doble, JB McChesney, and JF Smith were involved. The production of automobiles began. The brand name was Pacific . In early 1903 L. Luther Doble was arrested for breaking and entering. In the same year there were plans to expand production in another factory, which apparently were not carried out. Most recently, the vehicles were only available to order. Production ended in 1904.
There was no association with the Pacific Automobile Company and the Portland Cyclecar Company , which used the same brand name.
vehicles
Vehicles with gasoline engines and electric cars were planned . But there is no evidence that electric cars actually emerged.
The first vehicle had a two-cylinder engine with 5.5 hp . The engine power was transmitted to the rear axle via a chain. The curb weight was around 435 kg, including gasoline and water for 128 km. An illustration shows a runabout .
