Hiawatha Manufacturing Company was an American company.

Company history

The company was based in Hiawatha , Kansas . Charles Knabb was President, George R. Adams Vice President, William Knabb Treasurer, and Eaton S. Edgerton Secretary and General Manager. They made washing machines.

On May 1, 1904, the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Hiawatha . Production ended in the same year. Another source gives the production period of the vehicles from 1903 to 1904.

The owners then focused back on products they knew about and could make profitably. It is not known when the company was dissolved.
