United Motor & Vehicle Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded in Boston , Massachusetts in 1904 . In the same year the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Ormond , possibly with the addition of Steamer . In January 1905, a vehicle was on display at the New York Automobile Show . Production ended in 1905. In total, only a few vehicles were built.

Steam cars were on offer . They had a four- cylinder steam engine that produced 25 hp . The structure was a five-seater touring car with a convertible top. The original price was 3,000 US dollars . That was considerably more than for other steam cars.
