Penn Thirty from 1911

Penn Motor Car Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded in Pittsburgh , Pennsylvania in November 1910 . In 1911 the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Penn . In 1912 a new factory was built in New Castle . However, no more vehicles were made there. Because in 1912 production ended.

All models had four-cylinder engines .

In 1911 there was only the Thirty . 101.66 mm bore and 114.3 mm stroke resulted in 3707 cm³ displacement . The engine output was specified as 30 hp . The chassis had a wheelbase of 267 cm . The Model R was a two-seater roadster and the Model T was a five-seater touring car .

In 1912, the Thirty bore was reduced to 95.25 mm. This resulted in a displacement of 3258 cm³. The engine continued to deliver 30 hp. The wheelbase also remained unchanged. Model RF was a two-seat runabout with front doors, Model T-4 was a five-seat touring car with front doors, and the Comet was a roadster. The Forty-Five was new . 104.775 mm bore, 139.7 mm stroke, 4818 cm³ displacement and 45 HP power were its engine data. The wheelbase was 292 cm. The model TR was called Pir. Runabout with 2 seats and the Model T-5 as Arist. Touring car . There was also the Comet as a roadster.

A model of the Canadian Nova Scotia Carriage & Motor Car was based on the Penn Thirty .
