OK Machine Works was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was based in Buffalo , New York, United States . It manufactured power transmissions and other parts for automobiles . In 1904 the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Red Jacket . Vehicle production ended in 1905.

At the beginning of February 1908, bankruptcy followed .

Only data on one model have survived. It had a water-cooled two - cylinder engine with 12 hp . It was mounted in the front of the vehicle and drove the rear axle via a three-speed gearbox and two chains. The chassis had a 221 cm wheelbase . The structure was, according to one source, an open touring car and, according to another source, a tonneau with rear entry. Noticeable was a single headlight in front of the bonnet . The original price was 1,500 US dollars .
