Benner Motor Car Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

RP Benner repaired and studied car engines from around 1900 in his workshop in New York City . In May 1908 he founded an independent automobile production company on Broadway . In October 1908 the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Benner . Production ended in 1909. A total of around 200 vehicles were built.

The only line of vehicles was called Six . A self-developed six-cylinder engine with OHV valve control propelled the vehicles. The engine output was given as 25/30 hp . The chassis has a wheelbase of 254 cm . The choices were Model A as a two-seater runabout , Model B as a three-seater roadster and Model C as a four-seater tourabout .
