Moore Motor Vehicle Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Moore Motor Vehicle Company share dated August 31, 1917

George L. Moore was car dealer for Ford in Minneapolis in Minnesota . In 1916 he founded the automobile production company in the same city. He became President and AC Leonard Vice President. The brand name was Moore . Louis Disbrow became chief engineer in January 1918, but left the company soon after.

In 1919 the headquarters were relocated to Danville , Illinois . In August 1919, Moore and Leonard resigned and were replaced by EK Gallagher and JH Vickers.

Production ended in 1920. Plans to work with the Marwin Motor Truck Company failed. The company went bankrupt . The remains were auctioned in December 1920. A total of over 1000 vehicles were built.

Other US manufacturers of Moore- branded passenger cars included Moore Automobile Company and Moore Car Corporation of America .
