Farner Motor Car Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

OM Farner founded the company in Streator , Illinois in 1922 . He made automobiles that were marketed as Farner . He quickly realized that running such a company was not as easy as assembling vehicles. In 1923 he reduced the price of his vehicles, possibly due to sales problems. Production came to a standstill at the end of 1923. In total, only a few vehicles were built.

Farner then went into hiding and was not found until 1938.

The only model had a bought- six-cylinder engine from the Falls Motor Corporation Type X 9000 . It made 50 hp . The chassis had a 292 cm wheelbase . One source only mentions an open touring car with five seats as the structure . Another source states that there were four different structures, both open and closed.
