Fremont Motors Corporation was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded in Fremont , Ohio in September 1919 . Sales manager was Fred M. Guy, who had gained experience with the Hackett Motor Car Company and had designed an engine for the Apex Motor Corporation . CW Whitmore, who previously worked for Packard , held shares. They acquired the Taylor Motor Truck Company factory . Production, which was mainly intended for export , should start after just 60 days . Production was announced again in April 1920. At the time, RT was President Walsh, who previously served as an advertising manager for King Motor Car Company . Production began in 1920 and also included commercial vehicles . The brand name was Fremont . In the summer of 1922, the All American Truck Company was taken over. Production ended in the same year. In total, only a few vehicles were built. In November 1924 the bankruptcy followed .

Passenger cars

Only the R-6 model was on offer . It had a six-cylinder engine of the Falls Motor Corporation with 3205 cc capacity and 37 PS output. The chassis had a 295 cm wheelbase . The structure was a touring car with five seats. The original price was initially 1685 US dollars and was lowered to 1450 dollars in 1922.
