Hollier Eight Touring Car (1916)

Hollier Automobile Company was an American automobile manufacturer.

description

Charles Lewis, the former president of the Jackson Automobile Company , ran the Lewis Spring and Axle Company in Jackson, Michigan with an additional plant in Chelsea, Michigan . There he manufactured automobiles from 1915. The brand name was Hollier .

Originally there was the Hollier with a V8 engine made in-house . From 1917 the car was also available with a six-cylinder in - line engine from Falls Motor Corporation . Only open superstructures were delivered.

In 1918 Lewis had production of the eight-cylinder engine discontinued because there were not enough raw materials available due to the shortages resulting from the First World War . In 1921 he decided to rename the company the Hollier Automobile Company , but that change came too late. In the same year he had to stop production.
