St. Louis Automotive Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

John M. Neskov and Mr. Mumperow operated the Neskov-Mumperow Motor Car Company in St. Louis , Missouri . They sold vehicles from Anderson Buggy Company , Dort Motor Car Company and Gardner Motor Company . Mumperow apparently left the company in 1921. Neskov aspired to own vehicle production. In mid-October 1921, two vehicles were presented at an automobile show in St. Louis. The designer was John A. Schroeder.

It was not until 1922 that Neskov founded the production company. He made some passenger cars. The brand name was St. Louis . In 1922 and 1923 vehicles were shown again at the exhibitions in St. Louis. In August 1923, Neskov filed for bankruptcy . A total of five vehicles were built.

The two vehicles from 1921 were a sporty Phaeton with four seats and a Speedster with three seats. The chassis had a 318 cm wheelbase .

Were planned built-in motors of Rochester-Duesenberg and Weidely Motors Company . The former was a four-cylinder engine , the second, depending on the source, either a four-cylinder engine or a V12 engine . The original price was in the range around 2600 US dollars .
