Roamer (make of car)
Roamer was an American automobile brand.
Brand history
The Barley Motor Car Company of Streator , Illinois reintroduced this brand in 1916. Production took place at the Michigan Buggy Company's former facility in Kalamazoo , Michigan . A little later, the company's headquarters were also relocated there.
In 1917 the company name changed to Barley Motor Car Company and in 1924 to Roamer Motor Car Company . Production ended in 1929.

The offer included models with purchased engines. There were four-cylinder engines from Duesenberg in the 1918 and 1924 six-cylinder engines from the Continental Motors Company and eight-cylinder engines from Lycoming . The structures are shown in the table below.
In 1916 there was only the 23 HP with a six-cylinder engine. It was specified with 23 hp . The chassis had a wheelbase of 315 cm .
In 1917 this model remained in the range. The 38 HP was added. Its six-cylinder engine was specified with 38 hp. The wheelbase was 343 cm.
From 1918 to 1919, the D-4-75 was the first four-cylinder model. The engine developed 75 hp. Then there was the model C-6-54 , whose six-cylinder engine developed 54 hp. Both had a 325 cm wheelbase.
No four-cylinder model is mentioned in 1920. On the Model C-6-54 , the wheelbase has been lengthened by a quarter of an inch to 326 cm.
In 1921, the engine of the Model D-4-75 made 80 hp. The engine of the six-cylinder model remained unchanged. Both had a wheelbase of 330 cm.
1922 saw a return to engine power and wheelbase to the level of 1919. The vehicles were now called Model 4-75-E and Model 6-45 E , with the first number standing as usual for the number of cylinders .
In 1923, no four-cylinder model was mentioned again. The 6-54 model was available with both 325 cm and 351 cm wheelbases.
In 1924 the Model 4-75 was possibly back in the range. When Model 6-54 the longer wheelbase accounted for.
In 1925 the offer consisted only of the new Model 8-88 . Its eight-cylinder engine developed 88 hp. The wheelbase was 340 cm.
In 1926, its wheelbase was shortened by 5 cm to 335 cm. In addition, a six-cylinder model was briefly introduced again with the Model 6-50 . Its engine developed 50 hp. The wheelbase measured 292 cm.
In 1927 the Model 8-88 remained unchanged. The slightly smaller and weaker Model 8-80 was added. It had 80 hp and a wheelbase of 320 cm.
1928 saw the restriction to the Model 8-88 . The wheelbase was now 345 cm.
There were no changes in 1929.
