Coffyn-Taylor Motor Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
Frank Coffyn and James B. Taylor founded the company in New York City in 1920 . Everett S. Cameron, who had previously gained experience with Cameron , designed the engines. They started producing automobiles in the same year. The brand name was Cotay . The vehicles were mainly intended for export . In 1920 there were some vehicles at the London Motor Show in London . 25 vehicles were exported to England . Production ended in 1921.

The vehicles were powered by an air-cooled four-cylinder engine with an output of 18 hp . The OHV valve control was unusual . It drove the rear axle via a three-speed gearbox and a cardan shaft . The wheelbase was 267 cm. The structure was a two-seater roadster . The curb weight was given as about 408 kg.
