McGee Manufacturing Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles . It is also called the HO McGee Manufacturing Company .

Company history

Harry O. McGee founded the company in Indianapolis , Indiana in 1917 . He started with the production of automobiles. The brand name was McGill . Production ended in the 1930s. A total of around 16 vehicles were built. Four vehicles should still exist.

The vehicles looked like locomotives . They were also known as the Trackless Train . The chassis came from different manufacturers such as Cord , Dagmar and Graham-Paige .

Customers were film studios, u. a. Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer , the Majestic radio station, and the Kelly-Springfield Tire Company .
