California Motors was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Martin Andrew Leach, who also ran the Leach Motor Car Company , founded the company in Los Angeles , California in 1923 . Samuel G. Miles was his partner. They started with the production of automobiles. The brand name was California . The numbers remained low. Production ended in 1925.

It had no affiliation with any of the other California- branded vehicle manufacturers : California Automobile Company , California Motor Company, and California Automobile Company .

Harry A. Miller designed the only model. A special feature was the four-cylinder engine with OHV valve control . It made 50 hp . The only known body shape was an open touring car with space for five people.
