Winfield Barnes Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
The company was founded in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania in 1920 . In the summer of the same year, the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Adelphia . The vehicles were intended exclusively for export . Production ended in 1920. In total, only a few vehicles were built. A first auction of the work in July 1921 did not result in a sufficient bid. It wasn't auctioned for $ 86,000 until 1922 .

The only model was the Model 48 . It was a five-seat touring car . Right- hand drive was unusual . The chassis was 292 cm long. The four-cylinder engine came from Herschell-Spillman and developed 39 hp .
