Colonial Motors Corporation was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded in Boston , Massachusetts in 1921 . It was directed by Earl E. Beveridge, James J. Donahue, Melvin F. Hill, Hugh H. Lally, James W. Milner, and John H. Sherburne. George H. Bruce, VA Charles and Harry A. Eisner provided advice. They started producing automobiles that were marketed as Colonial . Plans totaled 500 vehicles annually. Production ended in 1922. In total, only a few vehicles were built.

There was no affiliation with the other manufacturers of Colonial vehicles : Colonial Electric Car Company , Colonial Automobile Company, and Colonial Carriage Company .

The Six was the only model. The six-cylinder engine was purchased from Beaver Manufacturing Company . It had 88 mm bore , 133 mm stroke and 4850 cm³ displacement . The chassis had a wheelbase of 330 cm . There was a choice of a two-seat roadster , a three-seat coupé , a four-seat speedster and a six-seat touring car . One source suggests the coupe may not have been made.
