Romer Motors Corporation was an American manufacturer of motor vehicles .

Company history

Albert J. Romer had previous automotive experience with the US Motor Company, Northway Motors Corporation and Murray Motor Car Company. In March 1921 he founded the company. The headquarters were in Boston and the factory in Danvers , both in Massachusetts . In the same year the production of passenger cars began . The brand name was Romer . At the end of 1921, car production came to a standstill.

In 1921 there were plans to manufacture commercial vehicles. In 1922 a new plant was moved into Taunton , Massachusetts. Also in 1922 Peters Autocar Company was taken over.

The company was dissolved in mid-1922.

There was only one model in the car range. It had a six-cylinder engine from the Continental Motors Company . The 7 R engine developed 52 hp . The chassis had a 305 cm wheelbase . There was a choice of touring cars with five and seven seats, roadsters with two seats, coupes with four seats and sedans with five seats.

The truck was specified with 1.5 tons.
