Strattan Motors Corporation was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Frank E. Strattan was vice president of Grant Motor Car Corporation , which was dissolved in 1922. He started his own company in Indianapolis , Indiana in 1923 . Frederick Barrows, who was also President of Premier Motors , became vice president . In March 1923 Monroe was taken over. Strattan planned to market its vehicles as Strattan and Monroe . It was also planned that Strattan would take over Premier. But it didn't come to that. In June 1923, Premier took over the Monroe values ​​from Strattan. Strattan put it that way that he wanted to focus on his Strattan brand . The plans amounted to 50 vehicles a day. Production ended in 1923. In total, only a few vehicles were built.
