Strattan Motors Corporation was an American manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
Frank E. Strattan was vice president of Grant Motor Car Corporation , which was dissolved in 1922. He started his own company in Indianapolis , Indiana in 1923 . Frederick Barrows, who was also President of Premier Motors , became vice president . In March 1923 Monroe was taken over. Strattan planned to market its vehicles as Strattan and Monroe . It was also planned that Strattan would take over Premier. But it didn't come to that. In June 1923, Premier took over the Monroe values from Strattan. Strattan put it that way that he wanted to focus on his Strattan brand . The plans amounted to 50 vehicles a day. Production ended in 1923. In total, only a few vehicles were built.

The vehicles had a four-cylinder engine with an L-head . It made 23 hp . The chassis had a wheelbase of 259 cm . One illustration shows an open touring car . New prices ranged from $ 695 to $ 995 .
