Cleveland Automobile Company was an American automobile manufacturer. The brand name was Cleveland . The company belonged to Chandler Motor Car Company of Cleveland , Ohio , who introduced the brand in 1919 as a low-cost brand alongside their original Chandler car brand .
There was no connection with the Cleveland Automobile Company , which was based in the same city from 1902 to 1904.
description
In fact, the Cleveland automobiles were essentially the same as the Chandler automobiles, but with shorter wheelbases. The vehicles were powered by a side-controlled inline six-cylinder engine with 45 bhp (33 kW). In the last year of production, 1926, a model with a 60 bhp (44 kW) engine was added. The following year, a cheaper Chandler model replaced the Cleveland brand.

Records
In December 1924, Ralph Mulford set a speed record on Mount Wilson with a production model. In 1925, he drove 1,000 miles in 14 hours on the Culver City, California, speedway with no engine repairs, also a new record.
