Luxor Cab Manufacturing Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded in Hagerstown , Maryland in 1924 . Allie S. Freed, Mickey Heidt, Joseph Sapinsky as Vice President and Mathias Peter Moller, who ran the MP Moller Motor Car Company , were involved. In the same year the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Luxor for taxis . In the same year, production was relocated to a RH Long Company plant in Framingham , Massachusetts . There is now also emerged passenger cars , the Standish were named.

In 1925 the Standish was given up. In November 1925 the plant was acquired by Long. Bankruptcy began in the summer of 1926 . Production ended in 1927.

Brand name Standish

The vehicles resembled the Dagmar von Moller's company. They had a six-cylinder engine from the Continental Motors Company . A sedan has been completed, and possibly an open-top Phaeton .
