The company was part of Meteor Motors , also known as the Meteor Motor Car Company, which marketed vehicles as the Meteor . The seat was in Piqua , Ohio . It manufactured automobiles between 1917 and 1924. Another source gives the production period from 1923 to 1926. These data can relate to pure passenger cars . The brand name was Mort . That's the French word for death .
