Frederick Cardway was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Frederick Cardway was a Colonel . He manufactured several passenger cars in New York City between 1923 and 1924 . The brand name was Cardway . A total of four vehicles were built in the first year and at least one, maybe two, in the second year. The focus was on export . One was exported to Australia . One vehicle still exists.

Many parts were bought in. The six-cylinder engine came from the Continental Motors Company . It made 40 hp . The chassis had a 300 cm wheelbase . The bodies were open touring cars . They were called Standard sport touring and Super sport touring . Many or all of the vehicles were right-hand drive .
