Campbell Motor Car Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Theodore A. and George N. Campbell were in connection with the 1917 disbanded Emerson Motors Company . They founded their own company in Kingston , New York , in 1918 . They continued the production of automobiles. The brand name was now Campbell . Bankruptcy began in May 1919 . In total, only a few vehicles were built.

The only model had a four-cylinder engine with 22 hp. The chassis had a wheelbase of 279 cm . An open touring car made the only body style. The car cost 835 US dollars and was too expensive. For comparison: The new price of the Emerson was only 395 dollars last year. The Ford Model T cost $ 525 as a touring car, but had a slightly weaker engine and was shorter.
