WFS Motor Car Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

WF Shetzline was an electrical engineer. In 1911 he founded the company in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania . He started with the production of automobiles. The brand name was WFS . Production ended in 1912.

In 1911 there was only the 25 HP . It had a four-cylinder engine that made 25 hp . 104.775 mm bore and 133.35 mm stroke resulted in a displacement of 4599 cc . The engine power was transmitted to the rear axle via a three-speed gearbox and a cardan shaft . The chassis had a wheelbase of 284 cm . There was a choice of touring cars with five seats, runabouts with four seats, roadsters with two seats and a limousine .

The 40 HP followed in 1912 . The four-cylinder engine now had 114.3 mm bore, 139.7 mm stroke and 5734 cm³ displacement. The engine output was specified as 40 hp. The wheelbase was 300 cm. Model A was a roadster, Model B was a gunboat with four seats, Model C was a touring car with five seats, Model D was a raceabout, and Model E was a sedan. It was unusual for 1912 to stick to right-hand drive , after almost all competitors had already switched to left-hand drive.
