Woodburn Auto Company was an American manufacturer of motor vehicles .

Company history

William Keller and Herman Messman ran the Woodburn , Indiana company . Claude Spreuer was a manager. Local businessmen held shares. In 1905 the production of automobiles began . The brand name was Woodburn . Production ended in 1912. A total of around 12 vehicles were built.

Most of the passenger cars were high wheelers . They had a two-cylinder , air-cooled engine that was obviously mounted under the seat. Was steered with a steering wheel . The last car of 1912 had a four-cylinder engine with water cooling as a front engine .

There are also trucks and tractors .
