Miller Car Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded in Detroit , Michigan in 1911 . Theodore Miller was president. JC Hallock and EL McMillan were also involved. They started with the production of passenger cars . The brand name was Miller . Guy Sintz joined the company in 1912 as works manager.

Bankruptcy began in January 1914 . In February 1914, the Kosmath Company took over what was left of the company and continued production of a delivery truck . The Pennsylvania Motor Car Company later made its own automobiles based on the Miller passenger car.

It is not known how many vehicles Miller made. But in 1916 there were still 36 registered in Michigan.

One car model had a four-cylinder engine with 30 hp . There was a choice of a roadster with a 279 cm wheelbase and a touring car with a 295 cm wheelbase. Another source mentions four-cylinder engines with 30 hp and 40 hp. The engine power was transmitted to the rear axle via a cardan shaft .

In 1913 a delivery truck added to the range. It had a payload of around 450 kg.
