Ultra Motor Car Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded in Amesbury , Massachusetts in 1912 . In the same year the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Ultra . The designer was RH Randall. In November 1912 there were plans to move to Taunton . It is not known whether these plans were actually carried out. Production ended in 1914. The number of vehicles produced is not recorded. In 1914, three vehicles were registered in Massachusetts. They had the serial numbers 010, 053 and 101.

Only one model was on offer. It had a six cylinder engine . The engine output was specified with 38 hp . It was transmitted to the rear axle via a four-speed gearbox. The chassis had a wheelbase of 325 cm . There was a choice of roadsters for $ 2,800 as well as open touring cars with five seats for $ 3,000 and with seven seats for $ 3,200.
