Rands Manufacturing Company was an American manufacturer of vehicles .

Company history

William C. Rands founded the company in Detroit , Michigan in 1904 . He made bicycles and accessories for automobiles . In October 1906, for example, the company was present at the Chicago Automobile Show as an accessory exhibitor. In 1906 a car was created for his own use. In 1907 a small series production followed. The brand name was Rands . In the same year motor vehicle production was given up again.

In 1913 the remains of the Warren Motor Car Company were taken over.

On June 5, 1916, there was a merger with several other companies to form Motor Products Corporation .
