Bethlehem Automobile Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded in February 1907 in Bethlehem , Pennsylvania . MS Heim and WS Stoltz, who both previously worked for Duryea , were involved. Automobile production began in November of the same year. The brand name was Ideal . On July 6, 1908, the local sheriff took over the company. In the following weeks he sold the machine park.

There were several US manufacturers of Ideal branded passenger vehicles : Ideal Automobile Manufacturing Company , Richmond & Holmes Company , B. & P. ​​Company , Ideal Motor Vehicle Company , Ideal Runabout Manufacturing Company , Bethlehem Automobile Company, Ideal Electric Vehicle Company , Ideal Shop and Bethlehem Motor Truck Company .
