Acme Motor Car Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded in Worcester , Massachusetts in late 1911 . Ernest Wheeler and William Vincent ran it. Wheeler had previously made automobiles as Wheeler . At first they only sold vehicles from other manufacturers. These include passenger vehicles from Knox and Velie, as well as delivery vans , trucks and tractors . In 1912 they made refined vehicles for local buyers. The brand name was Acme . It is not known when the company was dissolved.

There was no connection to the Pennsylvania company of the same name , which operated from 1903 to 1911.
