Duquesne Motor Car Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded in Pittsburgh , Pennsylvania in 1912 . The predecessor is the Pittsburgh Cage & Supply Company . Oscar J. Howick was the designer and Frank H. Morse was the chief engineer. The production of automobiles ran from July 1912 to 1913. The brand name was Duquesne . The sales figures remained low.

There was no connection with the Duquesne Construction Company , which was active a few years earlier.

The Four was in the range from 1912 to 1913. It had a four-cylinder engine from the Wisconsin Motor Manufacturing Company that developed 50 horsepower . The chassis had a wheelbase of 315 cm . The open touring car offered space for five people.

In 1913 the Six added to the offer. It had a six-cylinder engine with almost 8000 cm³ displacement and also 50 hp. The wheelbase was 338 cm. The only body shape was a seven-seater touring car.
