Ruler Motor Car Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded in Aurora , Illinois in 1916 . At the end of 1916, the production of automobiles of model year 1917 began. The brand name was Ruler . Production ended in 1917. In total, only a few vehicles were built.

The special feature of the vehicles was that they did not have a chassis . A four-cylinder engine with OHV valve control propelled the vehicles. It was specified with 17 hp . The wheelbase was 305 cm. There was a choice of roadsters and touring cars . The new price was uniformly 595 US dollars .
