Lauth-Juergens Motor Car Company was an American manufacturer of motor vehicles . Another source names the Lauth-Juergens Company .

Company history

Jacob Lauth from Chicago , Illinois had made two prototypes in 1905 and was looking for a sponsor. Together with Theodore Juergens, he founded the company in Chicago in 1907. The production of automobiles began. The brand name was Lauth-Juergens . The first vehicle was at the Chicago Automobile Show in December 1907 . In 1909 car production ended.

In 1910 the headquarters were relocated to Fremont , Ohio . Now commercial vehicles emerged . In 1915 the company was dissolved.

Car

The vehicle from the exhibition had a four-cylinder engine with 40 hp .

Two models have survived for 1908 to 1909. They had a four-cylinder engine and a chassis with a 300 cm wheelbase in common . The Model C had an engine with 127 mm bore , 152.4 mm stroke , 7722 cc displacement and 50 hp. The structure was called a tourist and offered space for five to seven people. The Model D had a stroke of only 139.7 mm, a displacement of 7078 cm³ and an output of 45 hp. The open touring car had five seats.
