Anderson Machine Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was based in Bedford , Indiana . Automobile production began around May 1906. The brand name was Anderson . In October 1906 the press reported on it. In November 1906 there was another report that production would end after six months. The number of vehicles produced remained small.

There were no affiliations with the Anderson Carriage Manufacturing Company and Anderson Buggy Company , which used the same brand name.

Fred Postal took over the company, founded the Postal Automobile & Engineering Company and continued production under its own brand name.

The only model was a high wheeler . The vehicles were powered by an air-cooled two-cylinder engine with 12.5 hp . The open runabout offered space for two people. The solid rubber tires were striking.
