Ruth Automobile Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Charlie Daniels, Mack Mock and Henry Outcelt founded the company in 1907. The seat was in North Webster , Indiana . Mock was the designer. They started with the production of automobiles. The brand name was Ruth as each of the three founders had a daughter named Ruth. They used a Daniels barn as a factory. Sales were limited to the local area. One buyer was a doctor from North Webster. Production ended in the same year. In total, only a few vehicles were built.

A highwheeler was on offer . With the big wheels it was well suited for the bad roads of the time. A gasoline engine drove the rear axle via a chain. The only known body shape was an open runabout . There was space for two people. Was steered with a steering wheel .
