Ritter Automobile Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

CH Ritter sold vehicles from the Demot Car Company . When this company was dissolved, he took over the remains. He co-founded the new company in Madison , Wisconsin with RA Skinner and AW Voege . They started with the production of automobiles. The brand name was Ritter . Production ended in the same year. In total, only a few vehicles were built.

There was no connection to the other manufacturer Ritter , who a few years earlier also offered vehicles as Ritter .

The only model was larger and more powerfully motorized than the Demot . It had a four-cylinder engine with 82.55 mm bore , 85.725 mm stroke and 1835 cm³ displacement . The engine developed 15 hp . The chassis had a 229 cm wheelbase . The setup was a runabout . The original price was 685 US dollars .
