Frederickson Patents Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles and engines .

Company history

Clayton E. Frederickson founded the company in Chicago , Illinois in 1913 . In 1913 or 1914 he started producing engines. Automobiles were added in 1914. The brand name was Frederickson . In January 1914 an automobile magazine reported on the vehicle model. Production ended in the same year.

Frederickson was involved in the construction of the Littlemac by Thompson Motor Corporation 15 years later .

The engine was a two-stroke engine .

The only model is called a cyclecar , although it did not meet the criteria. It had a self-made two-cylinder engine . A bore of 85.725 mm and a stroke of 101.6 mm resulted in a displacement of 1173 cm³ . The engine output of 15 hp was transmitted to the rear axle via a friction gear and belt. The chassis had a wheelbase of 244 cm . The open body had two seats, which were optionally arranged one behind the other or slightly offset next to one another.
