Vernon Motor Car Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Vernon C. Fry took over the remains of the Detroit-Dearborn Motor Car Company, which was dissolved in 1910 . In 1911 he founded the new company in Detroit , Michigan . In the same year the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Vernon . In March 1911 everything was sold to the Huron Motor Company .

The Vernon Automobile Corporation used a few years later the same brand name.

Only the 30th was on offer . It was based on the Detroit-Dearborn model. The chassis also had a 284 cm wheelbase . The four-cylinder engine developed 30 hp . The body offering consisted of touring cars , demi- tonneau , Roadster , Torpedo and coupe . The new price was $ 1,250, $ 400 less than the Detroit-Dearborn.
