Bugmobile Company of America was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded in Chicago , Illinois in July 1907 . In 1908 the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Bugmobile . Production ended in 1909.

Highwheelers were on offer . With the big wheels, they were well suited for the bad roads of the time. All vehicles had two-cylinder engines and were bodied as a runabout . In the first year the engine developed 12 HP , then 15 HP. In 1908 there was the Model A with a 173 cm wheelbase and the Model B with a 193 cm wheelbase.

In 1909 only the Model C was in the range. Its chassis had a 193 cm wheelbase.
