Club Car Company or Club Car Company of America was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company existed from 1910 to 1911. The headquarters were in New York City . The production of automobiles took place at Merchant & Evans in Philadelphia . The brand name was Club Car . What was unusual was that only members of the club could purchase the vehicles. Only a few vehicles were made.

The four-cylinder engines with 40 hp came from American & British Manufacturing in Bridgeport , Connecticut . The chassis had a 318 cm wheelbase . Biddle & Smart from Amesbury supplied the bodies. Different structures were available. The Model AA was a touring car , the Model AD a landaulet , the Model AE a sedan , the Model BB a torpedo and the Model BC a runabout .
