Massnick-Phipps Manufacturing Company was an American manufacturer of engines and automobiles .

Company history

Frederick C. Massnick and Walter Phipps ran the company. The seat was in Detroit , Michigan . The first known mention was in 1910. They mainly manufactured engines and enjoyed quite a reputation for this. Automobiles were also made between 1914 and 1915. The brand name was Perkins .

It is not known when the company was dissolved.

Products

The only passenger car model with its own brand name is called a cyclecar . However, it is unclear whether it met the criteria.

Vehicles were built for the Robie Motor Car Company . They were also called cycle cars, but exceeded their capacity limit. They had an air-cooled two-cylinder engine with 12 hp . 88.9 mm bore and 103.98252 mm stroke resulted in a displacement of 1291 cc .

Four-cylinder and V8 engines were created for many customers. Are called Detroit Motors Company , Fischer Motor Vehicle Company , Flagler Cyclecar Company , Hall Motor Car Company , Keep Bros & Wood , teaching Motor Company , Pontiac chassis Company and Remington Motor Company .
