Traveler Motor Car Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

FW Barstow and WK McIntyre ran the Detroit , Michigan-based company . The engineer was JP La Vigne, who was also involved in JPL Cyclecar . In 1913 the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Traveler . Production ended in 1914.

Other American automobile manufacturers with this brand name were Neustadt Automobile & Supply Company (1905), Bellefontaine Automobile Company (1907-1908), Traveler Automobile Company (1910-1911) and Taxicab Manufacturing Company (1924-1925).

There were two models on offer. Both had a four-cylinder engine from the Beaver Manufacturing Company .

In the Model 36 , the engine developed 36 hp . The chassis had a 305 cm wheelbase . There was a choice of a five-seat touring car and a two-seat roadster .

The Model 48 had a 48 horsepower engine. The wheelbase was 330 cm. The range of bodies did not differ.
