Aland Motor Car Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

RC Aland founded the company in Detroit , Michigan in 1916 . At the end of 1916, he began producing automobiles. The brand name was Aland . Production ended in 1917. In total, only a few vehicles were sold.

The only model was the 14 HP . The four-cylinder engine had a displacement of 2540 cm³ . The OHC valve timing and four valves per cylinder were unusual . The engine developed 65 hp , which was a lot for this displacement at the time. The vehicles had four-wheel brakes, which was also unusual for the time. The chassis had a wheelbase of 310 cm . There was a choice of a two-seat roadster and a five-seat touring car .
